Astana is an important hub for Finnish companies, which want business in Central Asia. Therefore, for any company aiming for business in Central Asia, participating in Astana Expo is warmly recommended as the locals consider the event essential and see that only companies present there are truly interested about the market. In the last years, Kazakhstan has built a powerful economic foundation and now provides innovative business environment as well as favorable investment climate. Finland is appreciated by the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev as an important economic partner. Being one of world’s leaders in green economy, Finland and especially its water and waste related technologies are of special interest for Kazakh counterparts. As Chairman of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Ruslan Nigmatulin has mentioned during his visit in Finland last week, Finnish companies are very welcomed to participate in the Astana Expo.

In the perspective, Kazakhstan will provide unique business opportunities as Silk Road Economic Belt, ”21st Century Maritime Silk Road” and Nurly Zhol programmes, aimed at the construction of the modern transport corridor between Asia and Western Europe, will be realized. Kazakhstan will become an important crossroad for transit traffic between China and Europe.
