Finland participates to IWA2020 World Water Congress in Copenhagen

IWA2020 is an international water sector conference and exhibition, taking place in Copenhagen 22 – 28 October 2020. The event hosted by International Water Association brings together over 10 000 water professionals from around the world. Finnish water expertise is strongly represented throughout the event, together with other Nordic countries.

Finnish Water Forum (FWF) coordinates the joint participance of Finnish water sector to IWA2020 Conference and Exhibition. With a Nordic focus in the event, Finland takes part in a wide range of activities:

Before the main event, IWA2020 participants get a chance to experience Finland at a glance in a Nordic tour in Helsinki. One day stop-over program in Finland (Sat 17.10.2020) presents the Finnish way of sustainable management of water supply, wastewater treatment and water resources management. Programme includes a mini-seminar, exhibition and technical tour to largest WWTP in the Nordics, Viikinmäki WWTP.

Finland pavilion in the IWA2020 exhibition will showcase the wide range of Finnish water expertise. Hosted by FWF, both water sector companies, research institutes and water utilities are present and available for meetings throughout the week.

Nordic area is a joint area of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland in the exhibition. The area serves as a platform for Nordic side-events, covering a wide range of topics related to sustainable water management in the Nordics.
